Wanneer de aarde ontploft, blijft Oekraïens ruimtevaarder Andriy alleen achter in het universum. Tenminste, dat denkt hij. Wanneer de Franse Catherine contact opneemt vanaf een afgelegen ruimtestation, ontstaat een unieke (en bijzonder lange) langeafstandsrelatie, die een sprankje hoop met zich meebrengt in deze uitzichtloze situatie. Een authentieke debuutfilm die clichés omzeilt en het idee dat iemand je ‘hele universum’ kan zijn een nieuwe oprechtheid inblaast.

English: When the earth explodes, Ukrainian space trucker Andriy assumes he has become the only living human in the universe. When the French Catherine contacts him from a remote space station, the two develop a unique, hopeful (and unimaginably long) long-distance relationship, despite the dire circumstances. An earnest debut film, which masterfully avoids clichés and sincerely breathes new life into the idea that someone could be your ‘entire universe’.
